The real take away point in this tutorial is that the weakness was already known and the decision to ski moderate 30 degree slopes had already been made prior to the snowpit. The snowpit and ECT test were merely confirmations of what was already known. With significant weakness that is often the case.
Probably two sets of PWKL conditions where there is more variability and thus a pit and test would give more new site specific information are with surface hoar and faceted suncrusts.
That said, I'd love to take an avalanche course from the cutie in the video!
