Free base grinds in Rock Face

The following picture says it all. Smooth, sloped and lubricated rocks make great bed surfaces and can be some of the most persistent weak layers in existence.



The photo came to me via a friend of a friend. Apparently that happened sometime between yesterday and today. I'm not the least bit surprised, Rock Face goes like this a few times every year... what a great reason to push further out in the lower Alpental "backcountry".
