January 27 -- Microwave hill

Used the Price creek west bound sno-park - hoping that it would be fairly empty of snow-machines on a weekday.  Found a half-dozen trucks and trailers in the sno-park.  Skinning up the snow-machine packed road was easy work.  Got buzzed about a dozen times on the trip -- wasn't too bad -- they slowed down and passed to the side.    Below 3800 ft there was an ice layer below about six inches of new.  Above 3800 ft the snow was all silky in the tight trees -- in the more open trees the snow was cut up by the machines.    Descending the lower portion on the snow-machine packed road was combination luge-course and terrain park.
