With 7" of fresh redi-mix in town Marilyn and I ventured out with the hound to circumnavigate Ferrells Marsh. After leaving the comforts of home we alternated between the groomed (plowed) street and the untracked areas up the hill where we entered the marsh. The trail was thin at times, but we pushed (and poled) on along the trail. Getting to the the edge of JBLM we saw the fresh tracks of a HUMVE, and not wanting to give ourselves away we wasted no time in getting to the trail that leads back off of the base and into the south side of the marsh. Dodging roots and low branches ladened with snow bombs we glide along the trail coming out as planned back at the entrance. The final return leg was uneventful with a few turns on the Pacific St. Cute back to the driveway.
