(Warning: Random sarcasm. Read at your own risk.)

I was surprised this morning to read that
George Taylor
, the official *clearing throat noise* "State of Oregon Climatologist"--the dude that forecasted Oregon would have a
wet/cold winter
--was quoted in a Reuters article published today appearing to be either defending or mitigating anthropogenic climate change.
FWIW, Oregon is a blue state (actually were kind of more purple)--Multnomah county (the county of Portland) went 72% for Kerry. Taylor is not an elected official ;-).

Taylor is only quoted once and his comment is not elaborated on. The article is titled, "It's a Warmer World, But Does That Mean Armageddon?":
story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&nci...vironment_warming_dc"My bottom line is that natural variations are much larger than the human component," said George Taylor, state climatologist for Oregon
