Had a nice tour to the top of Lictenberg, the travel was nice and easy, with a bit of everything in the snow department, firm and crusty, well padded crust, and solid rain crust. The further up Nason Creek we traveled the the more snow there was to ease the scratching, by the time we reached the 5000 foot mark there was about three inches. As we moved onto the steeper pitch before the summit it was variable rain crust and thin wind board. The last little bit to the summit was all rain crust, but we managed to skin all the way, my partner added crampons, which definitely made for more secure traveling. The ski down was really pretty nice, we took it easy off the top, and the further we descended the nicer the turns were, below about 5000 the sun had just enough energy to soften the top five or six inches making the snow a little heavy. Fortunately, that did not last long, and we were back on a firmer crust and a quick slide out. We had contemplated a ski down to Lictenwasser Lake, but checking the snow on that side did not entice us enough to jump in. The terrain we traveled all seemed very stable, there were however signs of slab formation on some of the rain crust, that would be troublesome with more snow.
