I was part of the leaders group that held a Mountaineers Mountain Travel class at Yodelin - aka, more trailbreakers in training. Besides all the training elements we did get in a short tour. The untracked areas in the open had about 4-6" of consolidated powder that skied nicely. Venturing into the trees at 4600' was not as friendly. The temperatures stayed in the upper 20's and no wind. Light flurries in the afternoon and as we departed around 3:30pm. The exit road down low is a luge run. My students had a wonderful supply of Theo chocolate that made it an exceptional day. ;)
