I thought it possible that there might be a couple of inches to turn on but once I hit the alpine I found it was a mix of ice and dust. I didn't ski into the either side, came out the way I came and enjoyed every minute.

we really need winter to return, this seems to be a trend each year. Thankful to see what coverage we have up there... I haven't toured into Newton yet this season, and curious what coverage is like east of the crest. Nice photos.

Thanks for the report - looks like a good day even if the snow wasn't soft! Are you guys parking in the Meadows HRM lot to access Newton - or is there a better place to start? And do you use the bridge in the runout from Heather Canyon to get across Clark Creek or is there somewhere lower to cross? I've been meaning to check it out during Winter, but have never headed up there.
