ajjenkin responded to my call for partners and we drove up to Mt Baker this morning. We headed to the saddle beyond Table Mountain and found variable, but generally good ski conditions. It seemed like the farther west we went, the more wind affected it was. Still, we made four runs and, by picking our lines with some care, had some fun skiing. We never dug a pit, but conditions seemed pretty stable. We got some small sluffs to go on steeper slopes, but stayed away from more dangerous looking slabby areas because they didn't look like good skiing anyway. There was a marked temperature difference between south facing slopes (warm and snowbally) and north aspects (nice and cool). On the way home we skied from the top of Table down the NE flank and hit a few rocks.
