SW slopes 4000-5400' skied fast and smooth with 6-12" soft remains of the Friday powder dump over a firm base.  N and E slopes not so fun on variable wind affected snow.  Made it to the car just as the forecast precipitation arrived.   Thanks to TAY friends Lin for motivation to get out today, Charlie for interpreting the UW atmos charts to say the bad weather would not arrive before 2pm, Stefan for posting a report on his trip yesterday, and Chris for driving and trailbreaking.   Sure glad I did not roll over and go back to sleep after reading the bad weather was due in at 10am.  This senior has been sat well today!     http://vimeo.com/34490808

Now it's time for pizza and bowl game watching with the family!
Hell yeah. Today was awesome. No crowds and untracked pow left and right.

judging by the number and flavor of ski reports lately from Silas I would say he is enjoying his retirement...

Groovy, Silas.  We were nearby on NYD, harvesting pow stashes near Kendall Lakes.

Ducks win the Rose Bowl!  Yeah, baby!
