That matches the forecast. We had lift skiing on the family schedule, but that 90% precip and 5000'+ snow line forecast looked like it would put a damper on that plan. So, it's ice skating instead, where the freezing level is consistently just below your skates.

Looks like Snoqualmie was nicely insulated by east winds, with temps staying below freezong at all Alpental telemetry levels at least as of 2PM. Oh well, I needed to get some crap done around home today in any case (though perhaps stuff I could have done instead of skiing "loose granular" a few times earlier during the holidaze break...).

Yup, I had jr out at Hyak today and very nice skiing indeed. No precip until 3:00 by which time we were in red Mtn for hot chocy. Stayed around low to mid 30's.

Cool how that flow works. Wasn't optimistic for good riding, but it was pretty darn good yesterday. We where just east of Stevens and never seen the temps above freezing and was riding cold stable pow from 5,400 down to 3,400.

Snowed on our way out and over the pass @ 4pm, turning to rain at about 2,500.
