Anybody know of, or want to share, any quick spots I can hit before or after work within a few hours of the tri-cities?

Horse Heaven Hills above Kiona - during a hard frost..  ;D

A little more seriously,  I've enjoyed touring the snow covered wheat fields out around the Waitsburg, Dayton, Pomeroy environs.  You can sniff out 400 ft lappers out there in a few places.  The wildlife scene there is awesome.  I guess the snow hasn't hit there yet, tho..

How about the windward edge of the Blue Mtns?  Not too far from you.  We could use some stoke from that part of the region..  Let us know, and good luck!

I've never skied in the areas, but check into Spout Springs, Oregon and the Simcoe Mountains near Goldendale, Washington and there must be something out of Walla Walla near Bluewood too.

Use Google Earth to search, I've found a number of places this way.

Thanks for the replies guys. I have a long list of spots from google earth and hillmap to check out but most of them are 2+ hours away. And, while I am ok with that for full days, I was hoping somebody had a close secret spot or two for getting in quick laps.
