November 20, 2011 Skyline Lake, Tye Peak

Skied out with a group of 8 to Skyline lake then over towards Tye Peak.  Snow was remarkable.  A couple feet of totally unconsolidated powder on a stiff base.  After runs down the gully from the notch west of Skyline and a  run down from the ridge above Tye Lake we climbed back up to the top of the peak and found untouched meadows which were then worked over.  The ski out down to the parking lot was pretty good despite the days traffic in the area.

No stability issues seen all day.  Great way to start off the season by meeting some new skiers.  Hopefully one will post some pictures because my camera died.
