Went out for a quick tour today to update what the snow pack is looking like in the Artist Point neighborhood. As I drove up I could tell that the snow level really dropped last night. It had been really warming all day, but I could tell that the snow level was at about 1500' last night . It was about 11 AM as I rolled by Glacier. It was raining at the White Salmon lodge, so I could tell I was in for some heavy snow. I hiked out and reached the top of Blueberry #2 at about 12:30. This slope is plenty steep enough for the heavy snow. I dropped in and had a blast while it lasted. There was about a foot or more of cascade concrete down the valley of the chute. I nicked a couple of rocks towards the bottom, but we are definitely developing a snow pack. I took a couple of pictures with my i-phone, since I forgot my camera. The top photo is Blueberry #2.
