After our Nov. 1st Ptarmigan Ridge Tour, we headed out for another trip out there with plans to go out a little further towards the Coleman Pinnacle, but as we hiked out towards Artist Point, Table Mt. was starting to look better and better, and eventually we decided to give it a try. We went around the north side of the chimney and decided to drop in there. My friend Luke went 1st . As soon as he started descending I could here the rocks scraping and then he took a little tumble, luckily I was there to tell him where his ski flew , about 150 ft. down. I did not like the sound of the rocks and was skeptical if my dog might freeze at the top, so I turned around and hiked the chimney, took lunch and enjoyed the beautiful day. I met Jason and Alasdair T. at this point who said they came out after reading the Ptarmigan Ridge report and they to decided to give Table a ride as well. I ended up going down Blueberry Chute #2 and it was really nice up top, but as soon as I rode a little further down I was hitting a hidden rock every 3rd turn. All in all after talking with everybody back in the parking lot, everybody hit a lot of rocks. We should of stuck to Ptarmigan Ridge or found the old snow fields and did some laps and the day would have been more enjoyable and less costly on the equipment. Table Mt. is forming a base now but still needs a couple more good snows to cover those rocks. Here's a short video. http://www.youtube.com/user/MrDubc73?feature=mhee#p/a/u/0/jQyYZ3zHkys
