Nice video. What a great day! Really didn't expect it to be as good as it was. Blue sky, temps were perfect, snow stayed light. Pretty amazing for the first day of the season. There was a bit of a crust below the powder but it never really seemed to affect the turns. And Heliotrope was starting to look like sidecountry by the end of the day, but still it wasn't hard to find untracked turns.
The hike out in ski boots sucked of course. We need more snow so I can ski to the car next time!

Ditto for today. My teenage daughter provided the motivation today. She really wanted to ride her board in some powder. Except for breaking a chain link and corking the road on the last uphill (sorry to those behind) for awhile the day was exceptional. Lots of people out today. Thought I was on Shuksan arm. We snuck out Grouse Creek and had great turns all the way down to the boulder field on untracked slopes. Lovely day in the hills with my kid.
^^^^ saw your tracks out there.. Nice lines away from the crowds. Like you I spent a nice day up there with my son.........and PNWBit( Banned)
