Thanks to bwait's affirmation of what we hoped, 30 or so powder hungry skiers arrived at the trailhead between 8-9AM today to clear skies, cold temperatures, and 6" of light fluffy snow. We all had our way with the mostly un-windaffected powder prescription of Dr. White. Plenty of untracked lines remain for patients who could not get an appointment with the good doctor today.

Maybe it settled a little or my visual ruler is off :)
It sure was an awesome day up there! Just had to be mindful of the boiler plate (ish) under the fluff....but skiing utah blower in california weather sure does not get much better!
Here's the rest of my pictures!

Still miles of smiles up there today (Saturday). Around 30 people or so, a smaller crowd than anticipated.
Also had the pleasure of partaking in some excellence yesterday. Stoke all around.
A photo thanks to kevino of Elliot and me, enjoying the goods:

Silas -- wow, that is fantastic!!! I think you're going to need fatter skis if this keeps up though.
We got about 1/2" of snow at the house last night. Skied last week (Oct. turns!) after waiting 3 weeks for my broken toe to heal ... it was a little painful, but it works.
Enjoy the snow. Lucky!
