Me and Luke headed out to catch some early season snow. We start from the Mt. Baker Ski Area and hike about 4 miles out to Ptarmigan Ridge which is on the north side of Mt. Baker close to the Coleman Pinnacle. Their was a couple inches of fresh on some hard pack and not another person around. Although they were short pitches until the rocks came, it was some great snow and a ton of fun.Their was one spot between Table Mt. and Ptarmigan Ridge that you definitely need some kind of crampons. Here is a short video.http://www.youtube.com/user/MrDubc73?feature=mhee#p/a
There's a snaffelhound chasing you in that second picture.  Looks like a good day.
