Fresh 3-4" wet snow at 5800-6000' on the trail up from Fourth Crossing. We skinned from Sluskin's chair with no portages! Fortunately the skies were slightly overcast and wind was very light. After finding icy spots above 8500' the elderly members of the gang of 10 stopped for lunch. The kids headed on to Camp Muir leaving one unlucky soul to seniorsit me.
