The forecast for high clouds and no significant precip looked good for Wed so we went for it. An ominous early morning cloud cap enveloped the summit but failed to deter several crimbing groups from successfully summiting. More climbers resting at Muir than I have ever seen.
Grimy "moguls" below Muir not worth skiing but much better conditions for turns 500 or so feet below Little evidence of the snow from last week. It hardly made a difference in the size of the sun cups.
Beautiful cloud formations on the mountain on the return trip. Still...well worth the huff up there for the goods!

Is that patch of snow as smooth as it looks? What elevation?
