Before the bridge turn left at dirt road.I saw the tallest and the most beautiful Araucanian trees in this trip. This trip should be considered as a two-days trip, Because of elevation gain, long distance , bamboo barriers, destroyed track and obstacle on the river. It is not a steep mountain. Be prepared!!!!!!

Before I started my trip I camped  next to the field of  Mapuche family. We went mountain to take care the cattle 3 days. Cattle live free in the mountain without fence.

Volcan Callaqui, climbing route is on the left  ridge.

we were going skiing

taking care of the cows

crossing the river with cattle

After 2 hours fighting with bamboo I tryed to reach the plateau onthe right of river. Another  two hour I got this wall and went back to begining point .

First day I stayed at Mapuche shelter. Second day I camped  before tree line. Third night I camped in the bamboo jungle

I saw the tallest and the most beautiful Araucanian trees in this trip

Returning to camp. Please bring me  some fresh eggs

Thanks to Mapuches  ...............

Great trip report and photos.  ;)

Cem strikes again.
In the first photo of your TR, is the center section of the mountain heavily crevassed?  It looks beautiful.

Absolutely amazing and inspiring!  Thanks for the photos!
