What a difference two and a half weeks make. Trail is clear, flowers are at their best, skiing is continuous from and to Sluiskin's chair above his falls. Snow is surprisingly smooth, cracks were obvious to us and easy to avoid. YMMV. Be careful and have fun. There's more dust on the snow, but it skied great.

THE TURNS-ALL-YEAR SKIER
Here’s an ode to the Turns-All-Year skier,
Who follows a sport some think queer.
Snow all ‘round the seasons
Makes for really good reasons
To go touring, ski down, and drink beer.

Excellent day, Silas and Eric; kind of a mix of July and autumn.  The snow had a few almost-gaps in the basin below Cowlitz Rock, and we barely threaded a line on skiers' far right, but the conditions were outstanding.  Almost no suncups.  You can still get September's harvest on leftovers in Edith Creek or Mazama Back Bowl.

48 months of TAY for me, a baby streak compared to some but it's all mine!   ;D

Thanks, Silas. As a lurking hiker, the condition reports are greatly appreciated.

And the pictures, always.      :)
