Climbed Baker via the Squak Glacier route for some August skiing with family and friends.

We were able to find continuous snow from about 5300ft off the Scott Paul trail and took our sweet time up (summit at 3pm) to let the sun cups soften. Skiing was much better than expected.  The later descent time really helped. The route is still a breeze with only two obvious bridge crossings to negotiate. Thanks Shane for the pictures and congrats Joanie on your first time up!

Ebeam,
Nice to meet your group up top.  I was part of the 2-some skinning off Grant peak as you guys came up.
Suprising how great the Roman wall skied that late in the day.  The Coleman route was heavily suncupped and runnelled below 8k.
Good work on your August turns!  Here is a picture from Grant Peak looking towards your group.
Cheers,
Nick
