January 7-9, 2005, High Camp/Scottish Lakes

Our family of three had a fantastic time staying at this true backcountry resort operated by Don and Chris H.  Of course, a foot of light, dry, fresh powder helped a lot too!  The trails are very well marked and laid out for both safety and maximizing downhill fun.  Breaking trail to Lake Julius (following the nice wands), and the 8 and a half mile ski out on the road with a 2900' drop were highlights.  I highly recommend this experience, which is great for parties with mixed interest and energy.  "General" coverage at the camp at 5000' was perhaps 3 feet, so still not enough for serious go-anywhere travel.
