Aug 11- Lassen, 'da kine'

- Lassen, itself is closed for trail work. But there a few sub-peaks by the TH that still have snow due to the large snowpack this yr. These peaks are about 350 vert., and they have a good pitch. Yesterday, I skied from 4 - 6 pm and the snow was very soft making for great turns. I even had some 'sluff turns' for the first 4 or 5 turns! This morning, I skied the same spot and the snow was more like corn. I was hopin for the real soft stuff, but it was still just as good. * The best part is the suncups have lessened in size, and the snow was so soft that is was, well 'da kine'. My next mission is to figure out how to post pics.
