Great skiing today up to 8800', above that was the odd elevated ski tracks due to the dust from the rockfall earlier this summer. The steep slopes that by now are usually blue ice or big cracks skied fantastic, and I was able to ski all the way back to Fourth Crossing parking lot with only one 20' meadow crossing along the crest of Mazama Ridge. The steep slopes were 1" corn, and the flats back to Mazama Ridge were soft small cups.

Yeah, Monday I watched a group of 5 bc skiers/borders tramp right through that patch instead of taking a 100-foot detour and staying on the snow :'(
