Arrived at Bunny Flats in mid-day heat, motivation was low, route to Avalanche Gulch had some dry ground.  To avoid the dryness and heat, I skinned straight toward the summit from the parking lot through a nice, cool forest, then above timberline I took the Broadway route to a 9400' high point lookers right of the Gulch.   Skiing to treeline was soft and easy, below was somewhat cupped and varied from soft to hard, not so fun.

Back at the car I met Bill of B&D ski crampons, leashes, etc.  He wore leather tele boots and skied Trabs and told me the Broadway route is the standard winter safe way to gain altitude in the region.
Now that's style. Leather boots and three-pins with Trabs!

What three-pins  ???   Silas never mentioned any....Maybe he had NO bindings to go super light.

Sorry, guess my "light is right" imagination got away from me . . .
