We broke out the rock skis and headed for Alpental. Coverage was grim, but what was there was nice and soft. Upper International made for good turns in reasonably untracked powder (given the number of people on the slope that weekend). However, unless we get more snow, I would not recommend this trip yet. The rocks put quite a beating on our bases.
