* as my nephew from Portland who drove by it recently (N side), summed it up in one word - amazing. (nothing short of). the S. Park road has 8-15 ft banks, which translates to mega-coverage. the last set of switchbacks, leading to the summit is covered in white, allowing for a rare descent. I was skiin' the lower mtn., as there are some great pitches. the snow surface ranged from 6-10 inches (with loose snow) allowing for great turns. and, a visit to Lassen wouldn't be complete without seeing some deer while driving up in the mornin. this season looks to be full of good turns!
