Conditions in lower Commonwealth were as you'd expect this time of year - dirty and a bit patchy. The lower 500 - 1000' of the southern aspect of Red Mountain proper was a bit suncupped and soft. The upper 1000' at about noon today was sublime corn. Bootpacked just up from the final creek crossing to the summit.
