Had a great trip down to Shasta last week.  Still tons of snow down there.  Forgot what it was like to have a week of continuous sunshine 8).  Lassen is in grate shape too, although the snow won't be continuous by end of next week or sooner.  Only minimal sun cups right now.  Shastina is looking pretty sweet too.

A few pics...

Super.  On Lassen, how did you approach the S side trail?  After you skied the NE face, how did you get back to your car?

WOW, very nice..

Any idea when the road to Brewer Creek t.hd. might be clear going (on Shasta's east side..)?

Nice pics and video. Looks like you skied the North Side of Lassen. Sweet turns!
It's still around 11 miles to Brewer Creek Trail head on Mt. Shasta. Went up to Northgate on Thursday. Great skiing on that side. Latest report-

Amazing! Shasta looks the same as it did over a month ago when I was there. Glad you had a good trip!

From the devastated area we walked the road to the first sharp bend with a creek.  From here we followed the drainage to the ridge and then up the south side.  We were able to skin all the way to the crater with a short boot to the summit.  After skiing the NE face we traversed right and then skied through the trees ending at our starting point.  The snow was continuous then but probably not anymore.
Last year we climbed the NE face a much more direct route but it was nice to keep the skies on the feet.  Thanks to Ed from Mt. Rose who told us about this route and gave us a map last year when we met him and Robin in the parking lot.

When I talked to the guys at the fifth season they said 11 to 12 miles for Brewer Creek 1 mile for Northgate and 1 1/2 to 2 miles for Clear Creek.
