Snow 1/4-1/2 mile from trailhead kept the crowds down. We passed 11 people total (1 other skier) but down the road at Heather Lake trailhead there were over 30 cars. Foggy the whole way, but snow was soft, granular, almost corn so decent skiing. Silas & crew tracks from Thursday barely visible. No pollen problem.
How was the decent? Do you drop down "gunsight"? I have hiked the top many times, but never with my board. I really want to though.
I pretty much followed the winter bootpack down because of fog and low visibility. Didn't even get over to the S side of the ridge.
p.s. to anyone thinking of heading up, do it soon if you want to ski the whole way. The bottom of the trail is melting out.
