Light misty rain on the way up from Bellevue had us worried about skiing fun. Maybe we should just drive to Vantage, walk around a few minutes, and then drive home? But, we were pleasantly surprised with much better weather when we reached Alpental, blue skies peeking out among the clouds.
Jennie gave me my fathers' day present early, skinning and skiing with me before her 80 hour work weeks begin on June 20. The snow is firming up finally, we skinned up chair 1 and 2 on 1-2" butter and then down along the right margin of Upper International on smooth buttery slopes to the lodge. No grippy pollen and no slush, hopefully corn season is nearly upon us!
