Picked up the Cold Smoke Wrangler at his house in West Seattle at 6am. Ate breakfast on South Hill and started skinning toward Pan Point at 10:30ish under blue skies and a calm breeze. Just under the Pan face CSW decided that his breakfast was going to make a repeat appearance and he headed for the parking lot with my keys. With his blessings for a little fun for me I continued.
I pulled into Muir a little before 2pm and made the parking lot before 2:30.
The snow was as close to powder as you can get for mid may in the sunshine. Stellar turns all the way down to McClure rock. Below that it was a little grabby and variable but still fun.
It's amazing how much snow is on the upper mountain! Super excited about the warm temps later this week consolidating the upper slopes. Lots of lines up high are looking beyond filled in. June will be AWESOME!!!
