Thinking we could sneak in a tour before the predicted deluge, Michael and I ventured up the Teanaway.  The N Fork road is open to near the Wahoo horsecamp.  We reversed and drove up Beverly Creek to ~1/2 mile below road bridge and walked from there.  Many cars parked here belonged to a large party of Tacoma(the City of Destiny, I was reminded) Mountaineers up for "scrambling" and overnight camp(!)  Tried to cross Bean to go up Beverly but couldn't/wouldn't so went up Bean instead, easily crossed on rocks and logs at the usual spot.
Carried on the SW shoulder of Bean Peak just below the summit.  Looking into the Fourth Creek drainage, the sight of some old snowmobile tracks shocked and outraged me so that I drank my beer very quickly and wished I'd brought another.  We had views out as far out as Chikamin, the Stuarts nicely displayed.  Skies were cloudy with some sun breaks, snow was stable.  Skiing down after 4 was so/so, slushy not quite corn.
Driving out, the N Fork was big and muddy and it started raining.
