Brian, Matt and I climbed the Cascadian and skied the Ulrich coulior on Stuart yesterday. We found firm snow on the upper face off the summit, but once in the couloir the snow softened and skiing was great to the valley floor.
The false summit was crowded with a total of 9 skiers waiting for the afternoon sun to soften the upper slopes. The others skied the Cascadian and conditions looked good as they ripped turns down.

Nice meeting you up there E. We look like little rocks instead of people in that 1st picture of the summit. Glad you guys skied from the summit! I thought the climb over from the false summit was really fun and well worth the extra time. Our party of 3, and the other party of 3, all skied the broad gully to the east of the Cascadian were you guys had ascended. It had absolutely no debris in it (unlike the Cascadian) and was in perfect condition. Big, fast turns on great snow...what a great day. We hit a nice window.
Nice to meet all you guys and really glad you got some nice snow in Ulrich's. The Cascadian was like a super G groomer-- really nice snow.
