Under sunny skies, Daryl and I skinned up Union and Jove Peaks on a breakable crust until around 5500ft. Remarkably, we had little wind while enjoying the views and lunch from the top of Jove.
From the top of Jove we had an enjoyable 500ft of turns on the WNW slope towards Lake Janus before the bottom fell out.
Our exit took us back via Union Gap. The skiing on the soft snow in the trees below Union Gap back to the road turned out to be quite enjoyable.
