Tried for Mt. Snoqualmie but turned back.  Much of the southeast had slid into the valley at Cave Ridge.  Saw and heard several slides while looking around.  Hoped for better conditions on the southwest aspect.  Found a ridge with lots of trees but it didn't matter.  The wet snow was very unstable even in the trees.  Point releases, wet slides.

Tried other aspects (North, South, East), jumping on some safe test hills but all slid.  Spent the rest of the day on very low angle terrain, holding my inclinometer.

During the climb up to the saddle between Cave Ridge and Guye Peak I heard a large slide, so keep in mind what could be coming at you from Guye.  On the way out I heard another big one come down with lots of tree breaking noises.

Stay safe.

Cheers.
That little valley between Cave Ridge and Mt. Snoqualmie is a scary place.

Thanks for the report Troy.  Going to get warm in the next couple of days.

Thanks for the heads up.

That little valley between Cave Ridge and Mt. Snoqualmie is a scary place.

...i suspect that is because of the convergence of two slide paths...
