With almost all the ski manufactures making super wide skis now...what is your favorite one? At the time when I got my Atomic TMex's they were pretty wide. Now with all the super wide stuff out there like the Fischer Big Stix with 106 under foot, the new G3 Reverend at 93 under foot and the old stand by the Atomic Teledaddy with 99 under foot, and I'm sure I left out several others, what is everyone shelling out their hard earned cash for this year? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

For trips where there's little or no new snow or super steeps, I use the Rossignol B2, 182cm.  Tours with freshies or sloppy wet snow, I use the Rossi B3, 178cm.  Both are rigged with Freerides.  Heavy, I know, but burly. 8)<br><br>B3: <br>Sidecut: 122 - 94 - 112<br>Radius: 25.5 m (185)<br>Size: 158-168-178-185-195<br>Weight: 2000 g (185)<br><br><br>B2: <br>Sidecut: 113 - 76 - 103<br>Radius: 18.5 m (182)<br>Size: 160-170-176-182-190<br>Weight: 1800 g (182)<br><br><br>

Got some fresh Teledaddies with Freerides mounted up and ready to go . . . just waiting for the snow. The new R:EX's have gotten pretty hammered already this year.

Not new this year -- but I have a pair of 190cm Karhu Jak's -- the waist is 97mm and the tip is 127mm.<br><br>The Jak's are awesome -- even on fairly firm conditions and in fluff, crud, mank, crust, slush and goop even better.<br><br>For example last June I was at Mt Hood for a clinic. A little before the clinic there was dump of new snow and now the sun was out baking the snow, but it was only half-baked -- the result was heavy wet glop. On a pair of lightweight conventional skis (88,68,74) I was sinking in to my boot tops and turning required a bit of work.<br><br>Later on I switched to the Jak's and skiing the same slope was pure pleasure -- well worth the extra weight skinning up.

Will be getting BD Havoc (120-88-114, 7 pounds 11 oz at 173) from wherever has the sweetest post-Xmas sale to mate w/Freerides. Good riddance to the skinny, East Coast skis and bootpacking! :D
