Proud papa today. My son Stig joined Bruce and I for a tour on Mt Snoqualmie. He's been wanting to get up there since hearing about it this winter from a few of the bros at Alpental. Cool temps helped keep us close to the surface of the wet, unconsolidated snow up the Phantom. The slot was as filled in as I've seen in quite a few years with the left wall providing a fat lip to hit all the way down. Quite good actually. Stig was strong on the climb and flashed the descent so I'm sure he'll be joining me for a few more this spring and summer. The descent of the phantom went without issue but is quite unconsolidated with evidence of recent wet, slab releases of about 2 ft. Probably not the best place to hang out during these upcoming warmer days.

Well done, Jan. My 12 yo preferred to lay about playing video games all day.

Nice! Gotta love it when you can take the family fun to the backcountry. Way to slay Stig!
