Day 1

Mt. Baker Coleman Deming

Finally nailed the weather forecast so it was go time.I was surprised
to see so much new snow there was.Luckily Louie and Gregg we're ahead of us
and they broke trail right to the summit. We we're about an hour late
to ski dry powder from the summit, but we got some knee deep on
the Coleman glacier. We skinned an extra 2000 grand to get 10000 for
the day.

Very surprised!  Could not believe the depth and quality of the snow.  the smart thing would have been to lap heliotrope but we were on a mission to get to the ski area.:)

Laps on Heliotrope would have been good for sure.....Somehow the Summit always calls....

Thanks again for the great skin track to the summit....

Cheers!

I am an old climber....I am not sure what Louie's affliction is......

this is very cool .. but would someone mind adding a little bit more info about the approach .. i know for you guys it's not about that and this is kinda lame .. but .. like how far fm the car do you have to go before even getting to the "trailhead" ?

I agree, for those without snowmobiles or legs of steel, how long was the road ski?

We parked around 2500ft....It added about an extra hour and a half..(Before the usuall star at about 4000ft..I am not sure how many kilometers...
