This day we did not have the van, so our hostess took us up in two trips with her small Toyota. Alfred had to go back to Innsbruck, so he headed up Cevedale, while we slowly made our way to the Martell Hut with full packs, arriving at noon. After lunch, and dropping our avalache and glacier travel gear, we enjoyed a short tour up to the col west of the main Venezia Spitz, some light powder down and around the corner to Marmotta.
We left the summit late enough to enjoy smooth butter skiing back to the hut, with four course meals and meter wide beds for each person.
