Taking advantage of a short weahter window Carla and I went to ski Persis -mainly for views.
Was able to drive to c1900 with snow starting at c1800'. Skinned up FSRD6220, a left on the next road, up the shortcut gulley thinly covered and (hard to believe now) skinned up the west ridge trail. Before 4000' we were in an open well covered boulder field and by 4400' traversing in large trees. Two tarn areas and a mellow pitch to the summit. The warm sun had us not going further.

Had some good skiing down. Then up peak 5017 on the way back to ski an opening that stretched to c4450'. Was so nice we had to throw in another lap. Spring snow in the open and powder in the trees.
The ridge boulder field was mellow and good allowing skiing to c3900', then it got interesting with the tight trees.

Your TR and images are great. While I'm recovering from a spine surgery, I'm enjoying your TR. Keep posting at TAY.
