Wasn't expecting much but needed to getback to basics after Hawaii and Mexico.
Horrible frozen mess to Pan Point .We got in some beacon practice at base of Pan Point then skied down and Across Edith basin in whiteout to top of Bundy's where trees gave us definition.
South facing 1 "dust on smooth crust. Skinned up Mazama with ski penetration about 4 " wet  on shaded north ribs and none on rib tops. Visibility was better by then so took a long run down east facing back bowl on soft crust. Regained Mazama ridge and skied  out west on rib tops back down to the bridge and big roadcut . Not bad but will be much better tomorrow for those that can go .
Equipment operators have conveniently cut a ramp at Road cut at lower parking lot trail head to Mazama ridge. Very little natural slide activity. Maybe 7 skiers total
Ran into Ranger Dan and plowing of Reflection lake should start in the next week or two.
Sorry we missed you, Robman.
Darryl and I skied out of Narada on 4 inches of untracked and unaffected... Great skiing. Saw not even one person or snowshoer all day (ours was the only car in the parking lot when we set out) until running into Ranger Dan in the lot at the bottom of Narada Face. Dan's truck and two other cars in the lot upon our return.
It appears that we may be the only heathens that frequent Rainier :)
