We wanted to ski, but our ambition hardly matched our drive. Lazily loaded up the car and headed up. It was pouring lightly at Snoqualmie, so the vote to head farther east was unanimous. Apparently it's sunny on the East side. Who knew?

Some exploring turned up fun sunny skiing and good views. 100% joyometer days are numbered - thin cover at pass level.

We found that apres-ski strudel is easily available in Bavaria's commercial American enclave. Ambition could wait a day...

Charlie, I think Silas has had an influence on your touring reports, especially the apres' ski component. ;)
