On the way up we thought the rain crust would support us (it sure did while climbing) so we looked forward to dust on crust, but as soon as we turned the skis cut through into the mush below. Most of our single run down was traversing and kick turns.

Similar in the side-country across the road. Some spots were smooth velvet with the new snow though. Really had to point it and not let your back edges sink in. Crazy jump turns helped in the trees. I'm really glad I brought my AT setup and not my Tele today.
Good exercise none the less. Experienced the same at Hyak yesterday. Time for some clear nights to suck that moisture out of the snow.
