First trip for me to this area that is so familiar to most it must be boring. Snow machine uptrack to Skyline lake. S side was horrendous but the approx 700vf drop we tried on the N side had zones of goodness (in the trees) and crust (open areas). Graupel and light snow on and off all day, don't think the snow took too much damage so areas on N facing slopes should be acceptable for a day or two. Fun!

As there was only one other group we saw, I'm assuming it was you gave me the dried apple slice? I appreciated meeting up with you at the bottom of the valley and your insights on the skin track across the valley to the Lichtenberg trail... I think you've inspired me to make that car to car trip.
