Intended to be a short day. But it started out slowly: first had to park at the T off the highway due to low snow line, then broke a trail through 6~8" of heavy new snow on top of wet old snow. We traveled on the west side of Humpback creek, saw many recent wet slides off Humpback. Skinned up to Silver-Abiel ridge and up to the Silver summit, well almost. Left the last 100' for the next time. The long West slope looked inviting, but the temp was high and the new snow was releasing in the sun. We retraced our uptrack, hurried home before the eve traffic. We'll be back.
A few more shots near the summit for future reference...while waiting for the weather to dry out.
