Ryan and I saw this couloir on Friday after skiing Holy Diver on Roosevelt.  We didn't really know anything about it, but it looked good, so we came back for it today.  I just learned the name of this couloir in andyrew's Roosevelt trip report minutes ago.
From the summit of Wright we were able to traverse and ski down into the couloir.  The snow was excellent.  The main gut was filled with ~3" of soft snow and lower down, the sides of the couloir and the apron held about a foot of decent powder.  The ski back to Snow Lake was surprisingly good--fast and smooth.  The ski down to source lake was less enjoyable, but not too grabby.

Nice ski.  That bivalve looks even better up close than it did across the valley.  ;)

Way to shuck it!!
