March 21-22, 2011, Chamonix, Cosmiques et Arpette

First day in Cham got here late in the day and tired from Verbier Xtreme competition and ensuing party.
Took a late Aguille du Midi cablecar to the top anyway and skied the Cosmique cooler with Tom and Davide. It was in great condition, "freeride," as they say.

The Boisson glacier exit is super messed up due to low snow, there's a fixed line to get past one section.


The next day we did almost 8,000' from the village of Trient, up to the Trient hut, down the central Arpette couloir, back up to a col and out to the car. I was on borrowed Dukes with skinny skins and forgot my lunch. Training, baby. Trient Glacier.
